The Month Of Shooting Stars. What Is The Best Time To See The Meteor Shower From The Most Famous Comet?

The Month Of Shooting Stars. What Is The Best Time To See The Meteor Shower From The Most Famous Comet?

Halley’s comet can be seen by a human once or twice in a lifetime, depending on luck. This comet is the only one that can be possibly observed by a single individual twice in life. It enters the solar system every 76 years.

In 2022, we can observe the Eta Aquarids meteor shower, coming from Halley’s comet. The meteor shower is a more frequent event than the fall of Halley’s comet. This year is a nice time to look at the meteor shower because the moon will be in one of its crescent phases. To see Eta Aquarids, you don’t need any special tools like a telescope. Just find a place away from light pollution and settle above trees, tall buildings, and anything else that can block your view of the meteor shower.

The Eta Aquarids meteor shower can be observed every year between April 19th and May 28th. The best days to see it are May 5th and 6th, when the Eta Aquarids will be at their peak.

The New Statue Of Jesus Christ Is To Open Next Year

The New Statue Of Jesus Christ Is To Open Next Year

Cristo Protector, or, in other words, Christ the Protector, is the new tallest statue of Jesus, built in Brazil. The Cristo Protector is 143 feet high, which is 19 meters higher than Christ the Redeemer with the pedestal the statue is standing on. The new statue is located 975 miles away from the famous Christ the Redeemer, on top of Mount Corcovado. The Friends of Christ Association is a Christian organization dedicated to glorifying Jesus Christ and informing others about their faith.

Construction works are over, and visitors will be allowed to enter the viewpoint in 2023 and enjoy the lovely city view from above. Currently, it’s only possible to look at the statue from below. It has been in the works for three years at the moment, and almost 40,000 people have already visited the area to look at Cristo Protector. For now, construction workers are focusing their attention on the tourist complex around the statue, which has not been completed yet.

Calcio Storico Fiorentino

Calcio Storico Fiorentino

Florence is Italian culture heart, a Europe muse that gave life to the Renaissance.

Coming to Florence, one expects to be inspired by the unique architecture, historical streets, and museums jam-packed with Renaissance treasures. There are boutiques of haute couture houses, of those who had been making fashion history for decades.

It’s a gourmet paradise. Those restaurants of the highest-class Italian cuisine are always ready to surprise.

Florence introduced such art masters as Leonardo Da Vinci, Michelangelo, Donatello, Dante, and Galileo. It is the city of artists, artisans, and geniuses till today.

We’re going to find out what to see in Florence during the Calcio Fiorentino festival – a prototype of football and rugby. Those, quite frankly, we’re fed up with.

Much more brutal than football on scrupulously trimmed grass.

That’s a whole different story.

By the way, that brings us to the history of that game.

It appeared a long time ago. Being unorganized and, strictly speaking, a complete mess, it’s been quite concerning for local authorities.

Surely, the players were beating each other up as crazies, causing severe injuries and sparking chaotic brawls. They decided to have it all under control.

They equipped fields and bleachers for the audience to watch the show.

This is where wrestling and boxing come into play.

Quarter vs. quarter. With fists, kicks, thrusts, punches, and blood. One may not necessarily be a dribbling player, though get a good hit in the face, anyway.

Now, what’s so spectacular?

Well, the magic begins even before the game itself, as the Corteo Storico takes place.

550 people, dressed according to the Florentine Republic 1520/30 times, walk the city.

Some wave flags, some play music, some look like citizens, some like soldiers, and others are holding hands, playing court lovers.

The city travels through time: the show is about to begin, and people are eager to see it. Everything suddenly pictures the old times.

Sure, it’s quite scary to be directly involved in such a thing. This is a rather traumatic, if not dangerous sport, not for everyone. However, it’s not as scary as back in the days at the beginning of the game. After all, the main difference is that the medical emergency team watches the game to help at any moment. To run out right on the field, as the game is not to be interrupted (probably risk taking a hit).

Come here in June. Just at this time, a tournament in honor of St. John the Baptist takes place here as well. People gather in the streets at about 16:00 when the parade begins. The game starts at 17:00. Stay a little bit longer to see fireworks on Michelangelo Square.

What else to do in Florence?

Actually, anything and everywhere (taking a law under consideration). No, really, Florence is beautiful in itself, and wherever its streets lead you, you will always find yourself in the right place. We have already told you about the castles in Italy earlier, click here to read the article.

So, Florence is beautiful inside and out. Here are Top-3 locations for you to spectate, learn, and have a snack.

Swiss Economic Forum

Swiss Economic Forum

If you browse Swiss Economic Forum, you will definitely find their motto:

Reaching Out.

What does it mean? Most probably, the organizers are intended to conquer new heights. Economic forums are always a space for innovations and their creators, where the future of world economics is established and discussed by people who relate to this industry.

This year, the Swiss Economic Forum will be held at the Kursaal Interlaken Congress Centre in Interlaken, Switzerland. More than one thousand speakers will attend the event to give a speech or advertise. At the Swiss Economic Forum, discussions of such subjects as politics, business, science, and the media will be held.

Background

The Swiss Economic Forum, or SEF, was founded in 1998 by Stephan Linder and Peter Stahli. It was quickly considered one of the most significant business events in the country. Not only are the Swiss speakers invited to attend the event – the Swiss Economic Forum is welcoming professionals from other countries as well.

This event is an opportunity for companies to present their projects – it is also a unique chance for young specialists to make a statement. The Swiss Economic Forum supports young entrepreneurs and new ventures.

Communities

The services are to be presented in four categories.

Powerpreneurs

Members of the network discuss the different approaches to entrepreneurship. They are going to address the new issues and questions in the economic industry in order to develop the existing products and services. Meetings with different CEOs will be arranged in an informal way to make it more open-minded and let people ask about everything they want to know.

Next generation

The main focus of this community is to give young adults a chance to stand out and come up with new ideas. They will be able to receive a piece of advice from the current leaders of the industry they want to change. This community is not about making business plans or learning how to avoid losing money or other resources, rather than practicing and using life-hacks that have already been tested by successful entrepreneurs.

Academy

This is another opportunity to make a statement for people between 28 and 40 years old. Each of the 25 chosen people who will complete the educational course will after receive an IMD Leadership Diploma. It might be essential for their portfolio.

To join the discussion, a candidate must fulfill the following criteria: they must be between 28 and 40 years old, have a budget for carrying out the project, and be one of the leaders in their field.

Founders

SEF Founders have their own networking system, which brings together companies to participate in conferences and conventions. Holders of the SEF awards can become new members of SEF Founders and start working together.

SEF-Awards

There are two kinds of awards at the Swiss Economic Forum: the Swiss Economic Award and the SEF Women Award.

The Swiss Economic Award

The Swiss Economic Award is considered to be the most prestigious award for new companies and is an award to be competed for by those companies that have already succeeded. To participate, the company must be founded no later than 2016.

The winner will get CHF 25,000. All the participants will also get personal feedback on their projects and an opportunity to use the program of business development. Entrepreneurs are welcome to promote their product, apply for funding, meet industry leaders, and do a variety of other things.

SEF Women Award

Both young and experienced female entrepreneurs can receive this award, each in their own category. The winner gets the prize, watch, access to the confidential information sources of the forum, and some other prizes. To participate, a female entrepreneur should have started her business at least 7 years ago and have a headquarters in Switzerland.

Further details

To reach out for the future with the participants of the Swiss Economic Forum, do not plan anything for June 2-3, 2022. Book your entrance fee and accommodation in advance and learn more from your visit to Interlaken, Switzerland.

Festival Dei Due Mondi In Spoleto, Italy

Festival Dei Due Mondi In Spoleto, Italy

The medieval charm of the city of Spoleto in the Umbria region of Italy seems to be totally untouched by the twenty-first century. Its preserved ancient streets and squares serve as a perfectly thematic backdrop for the performances, events, and activities of the Festival dei Due Mondi.

About the festival

The Festival dei Due Mondi, also known as the Festival of the Two Worlds, is an annual summer cultural festival held each June to early July in Spoleto – and one of the most famous of its kind. It usually starts on the last Friday of June and lasts for 17 days.

The main characters of this event are music, theater, opera, and other means of performance arts. During the 17 days of the event, numerous performances, including music concerts, opera, dance, drama, visual arts, and round-table discussions on culture and science, are held in the paved streets, traditional theaters, and old-styled pavilions of Spoleto.

This year, the festival will be held from Friday, 24 June, to Sunday, 10 July, 2022 – if you are in the area at that time, don’t miss it out!

Since many people from all over the world attend the festival and there is a high demand for tickets and accommodation, we recommend checking hotel rates and booking rooms in advance.

Concept

The main concept of the Festival dei Due Mondi is that it is the crossroads between two cultures, two different artistic dimensions – the American and the European. Through music, dance, drama, and visual arts, the event aspires to contrast and celebrate the differences in style of the two cultures separated by the Atlantic. The festival celebrates art in all of its shapes and expressions and provides a meeting ground for cultures of North America and Europe, showcasing both established and emerging artists in more than 150 performances of opera, dance, theater, classical music, and jazz. The event pursues the union between the avant-garde and classic traditions as well, which is reflected in the way old-styled architecture and stone-paved squares of the city become set designs for modern performance art.

Before the 1990s, the idea was further strengthened by the fact that it was held in conjunction with its counterpart festival: the Spoleto Festival USA in Charleston, South Carolina, the twin town of Spoleto. Because of consistent discrepancies, the festivals, unfortunately, stopped collaborating. The American festival still exists, though – this year it is held from Friday, May 27, to Sunday, June 12, 2022, a little earlier than the Italian one, with a two-day overlap. Every year, both festivals attract dozens of musicians, writers, poets, dancers, puppet artists, public speakers, filmmakers, painters, and other artists, along with thousands of guests.

History

The conception of the Festival of the Two Worlds was conceived in the mind of Pulitzer Prize-winning composer Gian Carlo Menotti (1911-2007). An American composer of Italian descent, Menotti was the incorporation of the ‘two-world’ concept.

In search for the perfect place to hold his trademark festival, he visited many Italian cities and towns, until he finally settled for Spoleto – he was charmed by its Piazza del Duomo as well as theaters, churches, and other performance spaces of the city. The historic city was the ideal choice: it was intimate enough so that the festival would captivate the entire city, yet cosmopolitan enough to provide an engaged audience and fairly reliable infrastructure.

The first festival was held as early as 1958, and throughout the years such prominent performers as Mikhail Baryshnikov, Joaquin Cortes, Twyla Tharp, and Luciano Pavarotti were attracted to participation in it. Today, the Festival of Two Worlds is still one of the most significant and avant-garde cultural events in the entire world.
