Vietnamese Lumberjacks Protect Their Forests

Published on July 20, 2022

It’s never too late to change.

A story of a lumberjack from Vietnam illustrates this statement well.

Once as he realized that his occupation lacked decency. Ngoc Anh once worked as a lumberjack. However, after a climatic disaster in his community, he was seriously concerned with studying environmental problems.

Now, Ngoc Anh is one of 250 trained guides who conduct tours of Phong Nha–Ke Bang National Park.

So far, those guides receive less money for their work than before, yet, they hope that this will change when jungle and cave tourism becomes even more popular.
