We urge all lovers of outer space to look up on May 15-16.
It’s when the Earth’s shadow obscures the Moon, may we witness the lunar eclipse.
The best view of this truly historic event will get South America and North America. Africa and Europe won’t miss it as well, as even a partial lunar eclipse is breathtaking, too.
This is a lunar eclipse, not a solar one, and therefore you can look wearing no sunglasses. By the way, this is not such a rare phenomenon and in case you miss it, there will be the next eclipse on November 7-8 of the same year.
Go out of town to avoid light pollution. Take warm clothes, food and a camera with you and go on a little trip, hunting for the Blood Moon.
