It’s been a year since Måneskin thrilled the audience at Eurovision 2021, but we’re all still feel the heat of it!
The slogan is The Sound of Beauty. 40 countries will take part in the 2022 competition in Turin on 10 till 14 May.
Who are Maneskin?
Now, you should know that these guys are hot. They killed it with their “Zitti e buoni”, when received a top score – 524. Magazines forecasted their upcoming success long before the competition and happened to be right.
Honestly, though, that’s not rocket science when servin’ such extravaganza, charisma, passion and love. They sabotaged the stage.
Damiano David, the lead singer of the band, had seized the throne, as he now was considered to be a sex-symbol.
He has everything to make his groupies thirsty, both females and males, and everyone in between. Energy, queer vibe, Perry Farrell, Brian Molko, and Freddie Mercury charm. Something we all switch on when dancing in the kitchen, singing in a shower, wearing something unconventional and non-conformable, something cross-gendered, something extra, cheesy, sexy, pink, glittered, blasphemous, funky and Queer.
Nobody knows anything about the young star life, so, possibly, he came from Mars. The only thing we have is that he studied at college and, having met his musicians-mates there, dropped out to make his music career.
The guys approached the band’s name as true icons. Victoria translated a few Danish words, and they chose Måneskin – means “moonlight”.
The Pulse contest pushed them forward, sure it has – as they had to start writing their songs. Then Felt Music Club & School music battle got them their first award.
They performed on the streets of Colli Portuensi, in the historical centre of Rome, literally as bards of the Middle Ages.
That’s when it got real.
BOOM! They went to France with the first live concert, about 30 people saw the rising star.
BOOM! Mini-tour in Denmark! Debut single, awardees on the X-factor, and at the Sanremo Music Festival, too. Recording three albums…
Those were the juries who gave them 206, whilst the audience gave 318. They would have given more. Yet, it was the highest score possible already. The frontman celebrated the victory, kissing passionately their guitarist Thomas Raggi.
The song “Zitti e buoni” stroke the charts, and ironically “sit and be silent” is his teacher favourite line. He had it with school, so good for him. He stuck it to the man!

As they were hashing it out In January 1955 in Monaco, the Director-General of Swiss Television Marcel Bezençon pitched the idea of an international song contest – like the Sanremo Festival. This man definitely had a plan to stir up the world with the sounds of music.
Recently, we wrote about the upcoming cyber concert of ABBA’s avatars here. For it was their Eurovision winning that brought them tremendous success.
We can only imagine what comes next in 2022.
